At Stone Ridge, our primary focus is on placing puppies into loving sport and performance homes, where they can thrive in activities such as dock diving, fast cat, scent work, agility, obedience, rally, herding, barn hunt, or other working roles that highlight their athleticism, drive, and temperament. We prioritize these active, engaged homes above all else, as they best align with our breeding philosophy of producing versatile, capable dogs that excel in real-world pursuits and bring joy through partnership and purpose. While we rarely offer puppies specifically as show prospects, we will consider exceptional inquiries from individuals committed to pursuing a versatility career including conformation. Such placements are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and are not our standard offering.

For approved show/competition prospects:

• The dog is placed on a lifetime co-ownership agreement with Stone Ridge. This ensures ongoing collaboration to support the dog's health, development, and career while protecting our breeding program.

• All litters produced from a female are co-bred, meaning Stone Ridge retains significant involvement and rights. Specifically, we retain stud dog rights on any male (allowing us to use him at no additional stud fee for our program) or require a full litter back from any female bred.

• We do not guarantee that any puppy will mature into a competitive show dog. Conformation success depends on numerous unpredictable factors, including genetics, health, training, handling, and environment. No promises are made regarding championship potential or ring performance.

• To assess ongoing suitability for showing/breeding, we conduct structured evaluations at approximately one year and two years of age. These professional structural and temperament assessments determine if the dog remains eligible to continue in a show or breeding pathway. Outcomes guide next steps, which may include adjustments to the co-ownership terms or other decisions in the dog's best interest.

Pricing for show/competition prospects is determined individually based on the puppy's qualities, pedigree, and the specific terms of the co-ownership agreement. Pricing is available upon private inquiry only after initial discussion and review of your experience and intentions. A $500 non-refundable deposit is still required to secure your position on our waitlist and express serious commitment. This deposit is applied toward the final purchase price upon approval and completion of the sale.

We do not sell or ship puppies internationally for show/competition (Canada excluded).

Puppies picked up in Utah are subject to Utah state and local sales tax.

Please note that submitting a Show Prospect Application does not guarantee placement or create a contractual obligation. Approval, deposit acceptance, and a detailed co-ownership/purchase agreement are required for any reservation.
